To go ski touring in Bulgaria, you should be fairly confident on your skis and sport a good level of fitness and endurance. Keep in mind that skiing on wild snow is quite different than piste skiing. It's recommended for at least the intermediate skier. Also, a big portion of the ski tours will be spent hiking with your skis on.

How do I get to Bansko

Bansko can be easily reached from Bulgaria’ capital Sofia. Sofia has a modern airport with good transport links. UK and EU citizens are allowed into Bulgaria without the need for a visa.
