Ski Touring in Poland:
Off-Piste Adventures in the Tatra Mountains
With only a small portion of Tatra National Park given over to Alpine skiing, the rest remains a vast, unspoiled playground for ski touring in Poland and across the Slovak border.
Zakopane sits at the heart of it all, offering routes for every level — from gentle ascents and scenic ridgelines to serious backcountry descents — along with well-marked trails and cosy mountain shelters. Whether you’re on skis or a splitboard, it’s one of Europe’s most rewarding and underrated touring destinations.
